🔹 MCA extends the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme (CCFS-2026) to August 31, 2026, and invites stakeholder suggestions on the new Integrated Platform for Insolvency Ecosystem (iPIE)

🔹 RBI undertakes a landmark consolidation exercise — 628 circulars merged into 64 function-wise Master Directions — alongside fresh Directions on Governance, Stressed Asset Resolution, Capital Adequacy (Basel Pillar 3) and NBFC Compliance/Internal Audit/Statutory Audit functions

🔹 SEBI revives the open-market route for buy-backs, tightens promoter-holding governance, simplifies AIF placement memorandum timelines (GARUDA mechanism), and cautions market participants on the emerging “Boss Scam” (CEO/MD impersonation fraud)

🔹 Enforcement: SEBI’s orders against Central Depository Services (India) Ltd. (cybersecurity lapses) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., Mr. Punit Goenka & Mr. Subhash Chandra (unauthorised pledge of company property).

A month packed with structural reforms aimed at ease of doing business alongside stricter governance and disclosure norms.
